The Kristal XL651 is the same unit as the XL655 but without the variable retrieve speed.The Kristal 651 is known as the toughest reel in the collection and nick named "The Work Horse". Designed for hard core deep dropping & trolling. It can be mounted on any conventional rod of your choice. If you like to fish deep for the biggest fish... the Kristal 651 will bring them up for sure!

The Kristal 651/655 also includes a momentary switch which bypasses the fuse. In the case where your fuse blows and you have no replacement, you can always retrieve your line.
